Syd lost his mind when he went to LA. He spent a while there and the rumours are they’d spike his tea in the morning with acid. The story that upset me the most is when gilmour joined. One day they was on the way to a concert and the four other members said shall we not bother picking syd up and none of them disagreed. So they didnt pick syd up. Imagine what that did to syd , already mentally struggling and your pals abandon you. That’s why syd didn’t want to see them , he couldn’t forgive them.
