It's really impossibly hard to put up with a friend or family member who takes drugs and becomes very ill or maybe has had a stroke or goes for lack of a better word: crazy… you cannot help them. The shenanigans never end.
I had LSD induced psychosis after a bad trip. Never had one until after hundreds of trips but when i did, reality changed and it was like living in the Truman Show movie. Eventually it went away after years of sobriety but I can so understand how you can snap and never come back
I had a good friend in high school who told me he didn't feel comfortable around people he didn't know and I said that's normal. He would go on to tell me he felt like some people were putting "things" in his food and drink and I said that's not normal. He started smoking a lot of pot ( we all were at that time 1977) and then he started doing LSD. I'm not blaming pot or LSD, but he began to go down hill within the next few years where I couldn't be around him anymore. He became very paranoid and would stay in his parents basement for days on end. His parents were very loving and supportive and got him the help he needed. I haven't seen him since he went into an institution because I moved to the other side of the U.S., but I heard he is living a relative normal life.

Roger Waters is a very intelligent man. Thank you, Joe, for the interview.

Floyd fan for the last 50 odd years and lovely to see Roger talking about Sid. Wish you were here is simply one of the best albums ever made.
