Shabbat Shalom! My question is: (I´m german, please excuse my english!)
How can it be that Pinchas could kill the couple? Is not that against the Torah?
But God honored Pinchas for that. So we know it could not have been against the Torah! How is that possible, because you need a verdict, a trial according to Torah! Only if Pinchas killed both of them in the tabernacle would not it be against the Torah! For in the tabernacle the priest is the one in charge! Am I right?
I just wanted too comment on the very start of this portion; the fact that the Most Hight has made it clear that swine flesh is not acceptable as a food source, then He adds , "and the abomination, and the mouse".. The way you link that Brother Adam with the "enviropig" is just crazy (to me the abomination that He mentions must have something too do with the "fast food" that 'they' make so cheap that a lot of people are tricked or fooled into thinking that they have too eat it to survive and sadly feed it to their children. This 'food' comes from places the majority don't even want to think about)… This is one reason I have not eaten flesh (other then fish few times when out for dinner) in the past 4+ years; we just can't trust the source as far as the way the animals are raised (cared for,,, loved?) Or what has been done too them biologically in the name of 'safer eating/bigger growth in a shorter time frame, all that and alike has weighed on me heavily.
Plus there was no flesh eaten at all before the fall… Pease correct me if I am off on that anywhere!
* after finishing up, just had to add you did a good job in explaining&showing how important Women are to all of the human race, the way that satan has been systematically trying to inverting all of the hearts and minds (in the western wold for sure) of Yah's children; through the feminist movement in the 60's (the begging of the destruction of the family the raises their own children) , then with the t.v. and the music. Any true seed of Abraham. Isaac & Jacob (in my opinion) has this in our hearts.
