Sad to say but Christianity is completely opposite of Torah. That was and is Satan's plan.
I would add that there are 2 commandments that are totally trampled on, nullified and made of none affect. They are the 4th and the 5th.
Not Honoring Father and Mother is a capital sin, worthy of death.
This is not taught like it should be. This commandment is not well understood and is watered down.
It is the middle commandment between our relationship with God and our relationship with men. It is the foundation for a right relationship with God the Father and right relationship with other men, our neighbors.
Without a proper understanding of this law, we will miss so much of what YHWH wants us to do.
Adam please check into origination of use of word Shofar. I believe it is an insertion adopted over time. And that any trumpet should read
TZOFAR
which in Hebrew means musical blast, calculation, and CIPHER.
