I'm very libertarian-leaning and after all this even I'm on board with on-shoring certain critical industries/supply chains. Our infrastructure, power grid, pharmaceuticals, etc. don't need to be reliant on trade with our greatest geopolitical rival. I'm very much a free-market capitalist, but I'm not naive enough to believe China can be trusted.

I like Saagar, but TVs isn't on the level manufacturing is at in America. We build Rockets, Aircrafts and Teslas. Build ventilators and critical medical supplies. Outsource rest to countries we have influence over.
De-regulation and tax incentives will bring back manufacturing to the US so prices of goods can be competitive with foreign made products.
