Floyd's death was a tragic example of the problems that America still has with Police brutality more than it is a direct example of a racial attack. The police do have a racial bias because nobody would have bat an eyelid if it was a white guy. Joe's right with getting rid of that cop, there's too many police officers that shouldn't have the power that comes with the job. I've met more officers that are disrespectful arseholes than stand up citizens themselves. The real ones that should be officers usually leave within 10 years because of their workplace's culture.
The police exist to keep the peace, not uphold the law at any cost – things won't always go to plan so training will only go so far – but choking someone out, (regardless of ethnicity – seriously, let's stop making this about ethnicity) when they're on the ground and cuffed is fucking disgraceful. At least that piece of shit is in prison now.

The problem is US cops are trained to escalate situations rather than defuse them. They're trained to escalate because it puts more people in prison, and in the USA, prisons are a "for profit" organisation. It's disgusting. Nothing but legalised slave labour, and they bank on people not caring when it's black people being forced into bondage.
