I sat next to a Bermudian at a dinner and he told a stranger ( me} that he volunteered in the ww2 came to UK ( mother country ) joined the parachute regiment was wounded at Arnhem ( cock up ) captured went on the famous death march. Was liberated by the US army hospitalised in the UK. Went straight back to Bermuda never related the stories until I met him at the age of 91. What a a man !! That generation was unique ❤️
