Sons of Man, Sons of God, Jacobs Ladder, and Daughters of Man.
Jacob had a dream of a 'ladder' – upon which angels were ascending and descending – angels are messengers and we are to 'judge them' because angels as messengers of the Lord come in (2) flavors – angels of 'light' as well as angels of 'darkness' (see Isaiah 45:7 – kjv).
As such when Jesus refers to Himself as a 'son of man' – and being the way, He is calling Himself a 'ladder' – upon which these angels can both ascend and descend.
Note that there are both 'good' and 'bad' sons of man in scripture as indicated by Numbers 23:19 (in need of repentence) and in Job 25:6 (as a worm). This also proves that Jesus was NOT calling Himself 'God', by the way.
Thus, the 'son of man' is a 'doorway' of relationship between man and God as there are also 'good' sons of man… so if these 'sons of man' are led by the 'spirit'. Notice in Ezekiel 2:2 that the Lord say IF Ezekiel will 'stand' THEN the Lord would 'speak' to him, at which point the spirit enters him and is what 'sets him on his feet'. This is the meaning of being 'upright' versus 'crawling in your belly' in rebellion, and why Jesus said, "your 'God' is your belly", which is also a reference to the Tree of Knowledge, from where we get our free will, moral compass, and thus – ability to 'judge'.
Notice that Jacob is sent away so that he does not defile himself with the women of Cannan. This too is how the Lord's spirit used Esau.
It should be understood that 'Adam' is a Hebrew word that has no 'plural' context. Thus in Genesis – when man is created vs. formed (see Isaiah 45:7 again) when it says "male and female made THEM 'he'." – Adam is 'androgynus' or created with man and woman joined as one, and why they are told to rejoin when separated, becoming 'one flesh'.
The 'woman' is the 'internal and spiritual' part of the 'image of God' and is from where our 'choice' comes from. The 'doorway' that is the 'son of man' has 'sons of God' on the 'other side' (note 'other side') of it, if we go up, following and led by the spirit, we then become 'Sons of God' as Paul says in Romans 8:14. Conversely, if the free choice produces a 'daughter' – then the 'son of God' has gone in the other direction and defiled itself with a 'daughter of man' – this was actually Adam's first sin… listening to his wife, as well as Jacob's, as well as Abraham, etc, etc. This is why Jesus said, "woman, what have I to do with you??"
As humbly – and perhaps disappointingly as I can say – I can fulfill Isaiah 52:15 – and in fact, in your reading this just did. You may respond if you wish, but if not – have I then not caused you to shut your mouth?
