Thank you both for introducing me to Esdras. Last year I prayed to the Father for my teenage son. He was going through difficult times. Elohim showed me I was to read Isaiah to him. His faith has greatly deepened and I can see his spiritual ears are open.
Well now I was just reading 2 Esdras ch 2:17,18, 19 now and it says:
Do not fear, mothers of sons, for I have chosen you, says Elohim. I will send you help, my servants Isaiah and Jeremiah. According to their counsel I have prepared for you …..
By these I will fill your children with joy.Wow, how awesome is the Father!
In regard to unsaved spouses going with….Paul said work out your own salvation with fear and trembling…I think about that often and pray on it….I’m with a wife that has two girls. Jesus changed my life last year…it’s been a rough life at home living with three people that don’t want to hear anything, dismissive, I’ve been referred to as you think you’re holier then thou, etc…I’ve debated bailing more than a few times but I feel the spirit saying no…almost as if I may be my wife’s ticket if u know what I mean…of course that could b my own conscious lol….it’s tough living with others that don’t get it…my wife says she’s saved…I questioned it for months as she is conformed to culture like most are…I point things out and avoid them…I’m looked at as a weirdo for lack of better words….if anyone got saved and totally flip switched like me have u experienced this being married? If so did u or are u still in the marriage or did it lead to divorce? Seems like things are ok for a while then things come up I’m not ok with…example, I used to be horror and sci fi movie person…now I don’t want anything to do with the filth…the joker movie came out…I didn’t want anything to do with it…she ended up taking her two girls to see it…against my will…I have a head strong wife that doesn’t want to hear how women should b bc that’s Old Testament etc…That topic came up at church once and I heard about it on the drive home lol…any advice would be appreciated…I feel like an odd ball in my own family for a year now…I don’t push anything on them etc…waiting for them to see a change in me but that doesn’t seem to phase them…the movies they put on etc causes me to go up stairs some nights…I literally don’t want to be absorbing Satan’s filth anymore…it’s heart breaking watching them as that’s how I used to be and I feel like driving off somedays to get away from it. I understand Jesus said let no man break up a marriage…..it’s tough being surrounded by it constantly…I’ve gone over scriptures…seems like 99% off the time I get that here he goes look. Again I don’t force views etc…I just don’t see my wife getting it…where we truly are in the timeline, how he wants us to truly be living. This saddens my heart.
