With the 2024 Paris Olympics round the corner I felt it was important to remember the 1924 Paris Olympics where Eric Liddell a Christian runner stunned the world when he made the decision to withdraw from his favourite race the 100M sprint because he didn’t want to compete on a Sunday. Joe Kirby from Off the Kirb Ministries also explores Eric Liddell’s life and how he also gave up being an athlete to become a missionary for Jesus.

I don't normally do this, but would you please consider sharing this video with your Pastor? As my main goal for this video is that it could be used in churches and shared with friends and family as we approach the Paris 2024 Olympics. If it does get shown in your church, please come back to this pinned comment and tell me, as I'd really love to hear from you!! Much love to you all – Joe
Eric Liddel lived in great joy, seeing the work of the Lord. There is a victor's crown for him, and thank God there are such men.
Asmy uncle said when asked about picking up hitchhikers, " When God wants me, he will take me. It does not matter if I pick them up or not." Ira Nissen
If you’ve never seen the film, check out the movie “Chariots of Fire”. It was based upon this man’s story
