Re fighting in school. I'm 89 and guys fighting in grade school and high school was a common happening. I've watched my child and grandkids go on up through college and noticed no fighting. Why? Because schools now have hallways, playgrounds and classroom monitors, and even actual criminal prosecution for what is called assault! What's my record? Grade school two fights; high school three fights and college one. I believe today's "safe environment" is not good for our young men! But at least yesteryears acceptance of young men just being young men has enabled me to not have a criminal record. But one has to wonder about the good.or bad this change has brought? Just don't know, but I wish one of my grandsons had gotten at least one black eye.
Bill literally had the same exact upbringing that I did and hung around with the same exact type of people I guess cause I’m in Rhode Island right under Massachusetts. We’re all just the same way we’re funny as shit and we just want to beat the hell out of everybody I guess Joe grew up like that too. But I was one of those guys also that would go out, walk into a bar and instantly find the person I was going to fuck with that night, but at the same time everything was a joke there’s just no way to really explain it, it was just a weird set of people that you don’t find anymore. And if we grew up around comedy clubs, I would say more than half of my friends would be successful comics today because we all want to do that together too and try to beat the hell out of the other person at comedy. I just wish it was all recorded to be able to be seen today but we would be idiots and put it on the Internet and probably get arrested every single day for stupid stuff we put on the Internet. Oh, I forgot, Bill reminded me saying he was a baby face and could only get served at one place. I have pictures where me and my friends are 15 and we literally look like we’re in our 20s, I’ve been getting served at bars and liquor stores since I was 15. So we had our favorite place that obviously we drank at for six years, other places too, but this was our favorite, and then all of a sudden we have my 21st birthday there and the owners like what the hell you guys been coming here for six years! It was just a hilarious time
