  1. Read the Book of Jasher that was taken out of the Bible by deceiving men. Book 3 of the book of Jasher starting around verse 30 onward gives a very detailed account of this story/interaction between Jacob and Esau. The hatred of Esau’s descendants towards Jacob’s descendants lives on to this very day. Esau never got over his hatred for Jacob.

  2. I doubt it took the family arrangement for them to realize Jacob favored Rachel. Jacob made it abundantly clear that he was in love with and favored Rachel. Lea would have to be content with this as it was her father's doing that she became a wife to Jacob. He worked for their father for 7 years in hopes of marrying Rachael in the deal, only to be given Lea because their father promised him the hand of his daughter but never specifically said he'd give Rachel and wanted Lea, his elder daughter, to marry first as it was her right ad found it unsightly to marry his younger daughter before his elder. Jacob would not give up on Rachel and worked for another 7 years in order to finally have her. He did not even accept Lea willingly. In place of Rachel, they had sent Lea to wed Jacob and kept her face hidden from him, tricking him into marrying and bedding Lea whom he thought was Rachel. He did not realize it was Lea until the morning, which by then it was too late for him to reject Lea as he had already claimed her innocence.
Though he WAS tricked, he was punished for the favoritism as Lea was still a good and honorable wife and shouldn't have been treated this way, so as divine punishment, Lea gave Jacob 10 sons where Rachel was punished to be childless for years until finally having Joseph and Benjamin towards the later years of Jacob when they were basically elderly.

  3. Jacob has generational curse. His mom is a Trickster, his uncle is a Trickster..no wonder he became a conman. Everytime I read Jacob and Esau story , and his journey to look for a wife.. it reminds me NOT to fool and manipulate people.. It is WRONG . Even if you are already a believer, you can fall to trap called Greed and pride… Don't be Jacob.

Also , dont be Rebekah. Don't encourage war between your children. That is evil… you will suffer the consequences to multiple generations.

What i learned from Esau is, dont be weak … don't give up your inheritance with temporary reward and be forgiving…

  4. Jacob was tricked in to his marrage with Leaha so both ladys knew as with the children Jacob only took his fathers blessing and little more….another thing you dont seem to realize is a brothers love,,,,,no big good job…thanks
