How do you folks still blindly follow Joe like he is any smarter than your average head injury champ? Didn't catch how Magic went from a super fun and cool game to some stupid game that nerds play? This podcast is just watching Joe desperately need to be liked by whoever is on the other side of the mic these days.
I've been playing Magic for a long while now. Here's the scoop with Magic right now. There has been a lot of cards with color hating implications over the years. As a way to deal with meta games at the time. Which is great for competitive players but the real problem are the names and arts that bring out hateful ideas like a card called "Cleanse" and it what it does is: "Destroy all black creatures". Also it's not just the card, but the artist as well. The artist who drew the art that Joe showed is a openly known white nationalist. And there's another artist in the community who takes white supremacists donations and sends arts for free. I will say it is silly that a children card game is "CaNcelED!!" and going after old shit is ridiculous. However it's important for Magic to look back at past mistakes be aware of it. Look to forward to the future to do better.
