After Moses first meeting with God on Siniah he came down and asked Israel to make a covenant to live by the higher law, the Melchizedek Priesthood Covenant of spiritual obedience. The original tablets were the 10 beatitudes which were the Melchizedek Law. Moses was furious when he saw the calf and knew and feared the destruction of Israel and smashed the Melchizedek tablets. Moses then asked the people to repent and covenant again and went up to Siniah to seek repentance for his people. God does not forgive but takes away the Melchizedek law again to them but instead gave the lesser law of the Aaronic Priesthood and wrote the second law of carnal commandments on the second set of tablets, which contained the law of sacrifice until Chrit would come and restore the Melchizedek back to Israel but again they rejected him and crucified the God of heaven and thus it was given and taken again by the death of all the apostles who held the keys to the Melchezidec Priesthood law. But the scriptures say that it will be restored again before Christ's second coming to prepare a people both Jew and Gentile for his second coming.
