  1. Thanks you pastor Doug for the honest response to drinking alcohol. now I know the truth I will stop drinking for your words is honest and true 👍 I understand you clearly and the scripture is clear . Thank God 😊

  2. The simple answer is no it is not wrong for the people of God to drink wine and even stronger drinks. But it can only be done up to a point of not being drunk.

It is not a sin to drink wine and it is not a sin to drink strong drink. Sin is the transgression of the Law 1John3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. I write this letter because some times we just need to be fine tuned to a particular subject and given some things to consider to steer us in the right direction. That is the purpose of this letter.

I ask all of you that may read this post some questions 1.) Is Jesus God? 2.) Is Jesus words more important than any other person on the planet? 3.) If Jesus says something then it is BIBLE and it must be true right? Did Jesus know the law of God? Then if Jesus is God that would mean Jesus gave the law right? So if Jesus gave man the law, and Jesus knows the law…….WOULD JESUS MAKE WINE FOR SOME PEOPLE AT A PARTY KNOWING THAT IT IS A SIN TO DRINK WINE?

IF IT IS A SIN TO DRINK WINE WOULDN'T JESUS HAVE TOLD HIS MOTHER AND THE PEOPLE I CANNOT MAKE WINE FOR YOU BECAUSE I HAVE SAID YOU SHOULD NOT DRINK WINE BECAUSE IT IS SIN?

ISN'T THAT MORE LIKE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED? BUT JESUS DID MAKE WINE FOR THE PEOPLE.

Here is more BIBLE about the People of God drinking wine and the drinkers were not call sinners. And even God said he will give His people wine himself.

Here in Deuteronomy 14 God told Moses to tell Israel what to do with some of the tithes when preparing for a feast, in this chapter 14 they are told they can spend money for Wine and even for strong drink. 24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: 25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,

God said they could buy wine and stronger drink than wine.

The Lord said he will give his people wine Joel 2:18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people. 19 Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

God said he will send His people wine (This is Bible)

God said He will bring His people back to their land and that they will plant vineyards and drink the wine thereof Amo 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: 12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this. 13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. 14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. 15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God. (This is Bible)

When Israel took the vow of the Nazarite they could drink no wine Num 6:1-3, 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the LORD: 3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.

But when any Israelite's that took the Nazarite vow and their vow was over they could then drink wine Num 6:13 skip to 18-20 then they could drink wine after their vow was over. Num 6:13 And this is the law of the Nazarite, when the days of his separation are fulfilled: he shall be brought unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: Num 6:18 And the Nazarite shall shave the head of his separation at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall take the hair of the head of his separation, and put it in the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offerings. 19 And the priest shall take the sodden shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the hands of the Nazarite, after the hair of his separation is shaven: 20 And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD: this is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder: and after that the Nazarite may drink wine.

Men of God that drank wine and were still considered righteous and not a sinner.

Isaac drank wine Gen 27:25 And he<–(Isaac) said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he<–(Issac) drank. 26 And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son. (Was Isaac called a sinner?) NO!

Noah drank Wine and he was called a righteous man and called a preacher and God saved him and his family from the flood. Genesis 9:20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: 21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. (Was Noah called A sinner?) NO!

    Noah was called righteous even though he drank wine and God saved him. (This is Bible) 2Pe_2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

    Noah was righteous!

Look here at what pual said to the church about drinking wine. (This is also Bible) 1Ti 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.

Here Paul told the church to drink wine for their stomach sake and infirmities. (PAUL SAID TO DRINK WINE?)

Jesus even said he will drink of the fruit of the vine new in the Fathers kingdom. Mathew 26:27-29, Mark 14: 22-25

    THIS IS ALL BIBLE!!!!!!!

Respectfully peace in the name of Jesus.

  3. Jesus gave a bunch of drunk wedding guests (drank freely) giant lavers full of wine to get even more drunk. What in the world are you talking about?

okay, this may be a great message for those that have alcohol problems….

but what about those that don't… what about the average person that has wine at weddings like the one Jesus attended and was recorded for us to have as an example… did he scorn them? No. He gave them wine.

Now imagine you are thinking about faith… but you don't want to be a militant evangelical…. but you see these messages that can be refuted with Bible passages showing Jesus giving people wine. but you see these messages and you decide to steer clear of this system that is being presented with works… works of abstinence in a ascetic manner…. now you want nothing to do with it. You have been offended… in HIS name… by this message…. millstones come to mind.

Jesus prayed that Peter would endure temptation, not avoid it. People drinking may be temptation for those that have problems, but it seems like more would be required as a stumbling block TO Jesus. Now scaring them away with pious expectation… that's a stumbling block to Jesus.

I could be wrong… but just some food for thought. I'd avoid speaking on authority against things Jesus can clearly be seen to have no problem with.

"drink until you don't know the wickedness of Human or the righteousness of Mordecai" as they say….
