  1. A jaguar would not be a big deal if it were reintroduced here. They're very similar to cougars and in Mexico coexist in the same habitat. They'd be shy and seldom seen here as they are there. If it weren't for the border wall they'd just reintroduce themselves, assuming humans didn't immediately start persecuting them, which is what led to their disappearance from the United States in the first place.

  2. After doing my own research, and learning that jaguars have the most powerful bite force of all large cats; I think they could be effective predators against feral pigs and invasive game across the southwest. By some accounts, besides what is described in the video; I found that the US Jaguar range used to stretch from Monterey California to Louisiana.
If large feral pigs are definitely viciously defensive and predatory; against the most powerful big cat bite force that usually attacks the head, and is as formidable as tigers and leopards, that is where I hope jaguars could be an effective feral pig predator. There is even some evidence and studies of jaguars developing the taste of feral pigs in South America.

When it comes to concerns about livestock, this is where we explore the wild western legends of the Texas Longhorns putting up strong defenses.

  3. ok so jauars were all over the southern states. Probably all the way to florida. The warm states. Could have even been a temperate version or a cold version. The mountain Lions would not be displaced. Puma's and jaguars co-exist all over mexico and sounth America. People barely encounter puma's, so why would they encounter a jaguar. I be there is some in arizona due to the border having opening to let, illegals in, "why cant a jaguar get in ???. Dingling. Btw there is lots of pigs too eat. Due to again you dinglings. I live in Canada – never seen a wolf never seen a puma, never seen a bear. Once in a blur moon a black bear swims over the ottawa and gets stuck on the transit way and has to be removed. Only in the paper, though. You people dont even need to see them to be stupidly scared. God forbid if you did see them omg. Just like coyotes. Omg "i seen one, we need a culling." Headline in the Ottawa Citizen. I encounter coyotes often at night as i wour nights. They are just dogs! They dont want nothing to do with you. Same goes for jaguars and Puma's So i say Hell ya restore them. And if people got a problem with that, move the people.
