honestly I think the Hydra makes for a better guardian of the Gates of the Underworld compared to her brother Cereberus
Anyway you look at it the Hydra didn't get enough respect from the ancients or the people of the middle ages. The crab became known as one of the twelve zodiacs, while the Hydra became associated with a lesser star-cluster!
