Back in high school I made the biggest mistake I had ever made at that point in my life, and my best friend caught me being unfaithful to my girlfriend at the time who was also a good friend of his. He did what any real friend would have done and slapped me senseless until I was almost unconscious. Of course I lost a lot of his respect for a long time, and he made damn sure that she found out from me immediately afterwards. He made sure I understood how bad it hurt her and all of our friends, but he never judged me for it. I was only 16 at the time so he stepped in and helped me grow the fuck up. We’re still best friends to this day. Everyone needs a someone who will tell you when you’re wrong and genuinely wants you to be better.
