At the Sacred Word Revealed Conference Joy told Diane Covher that she was praying that we could get someone to ask all their questions about the Lunar Sabbath in one honest conversation. The next day Rob Skiba randomly (not knowing that she mentioned this to Diane) starts this conversation over lunch. Joy pulled out her phone and started recording to share. That said, please excuse the background noise, sound quality, etc. Rob and Diane are great examples of how you can disagree but still discuss as brothers and sisters in The Messiah! Rest on day 7 is perpetual rotation. Then we must practice/ celebrate 7 special moeds as the moon shows us those days. The 14th day is purely based on moon phases. Two forms of "remembering" can work.
Even Pagan leaders knew that they had to stop the various Jews throughout the world to stop worshipping on 7 day rotation of Sabbaths. Which is why Constantine made all to worship on "Sunday". Perhaps the issues lies in high sabbaths or the 7 moeds only days which are based on a different method, of a certain moon position
Rob Skiba is greatly missed in many ways. I do wonder if he ever understood our Creator's calendar ? If you do not have a new moon day, your calendar will not be in sync with the moon phases which is the foundation of our Creator's calendar. I don't think God wants the Sabbath to be this hard to understand. He certainly wouldn't want it to be this difficult to keep, seeing as He commanded it.
I think there's some logical truth to the saying, that "if you can't explain something to a 5 year old, well enough for the 5 year old to understand it, you likely don't know the subject as well as you think you do". Certainly, when someone tells another that they don't get the explanation because of a limited understanding, then that person certainly doesn't know the topic as well as they think they do.
Keeping the Sabbath is one of the more straight forward, clear cut commandments. It shouldn't be this hard to get.
I agree with the woman's premise of not getting into limiting the Lord, and it leads me to the question, what if someone was washed up on a beach on an island, isolated from society, and unable to be certain what day it is? I think that person would be able to look up, and know. The Bible says the sky is for dates and times.
I leaning toward observation of the lunar Sabbath, because my gut tells me it's the way to know when the Sabbath actually is. I just never get a perfectly explained way to do it.
Why is Yah specific about moedim that have to be held on specific days but nowhere in scripture does it say the Sabbath is on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th?
He is not a God of confusion and if these were His intended Sabbath days, He would have specified that just as he did with Yom Kippur, Passover, etc.
So glad Rob tests everything back to scripture. Wish he was still with us 🙏
