Here’s a segment from my blog The Trueman Show, concerning mountain ranges at a distance, the horizon, fish-eye lens issues and of course, Eratosthenes.

The moon and sun are flat too and just happenned to be at an angle towards earth so that everybody, everywhere can only see the top side of the disks.
Fuckin' idiots.
What is your point? You want to be significant as living creatures created by design?
You are not, despite all these pathetic attempts. Accept reality. We are on a small globe orbiting one of the millions stars of the universe. Wether it scares you or not doesn't change anything.
Edit: Anthropocentrism is related to your so-called "deadly sin" of pride, in my humble opinion.
Nailed it! Especially the last few minutes, re: Scientific Method. Thanks for your work.
Oh, so that's what you meant by "fish-eye" lense.
Rob Skiba, I like you, but you are wrong. Think about how big our ball is. Think about the sphere as the shape the earth appears to be from distant outer space due to our atmosphere. The actual earth at sea level and +or- seal level is NOT a perfect sphere… It rises and slopes and is flat in places and then there is the water… All of that water…. This means that your math is not accurate!! Think about it, Rob. You are doing math based on a perfect sphere! I can take a 2 mile run in my neighborhood and realize that isn't the case. You are using faulty geometry.
