On November 21st 2015 Kent Hovind posted a video to his Facebook account from the Pensacola Beach. In the end of the video he challenges the Flat Earth Movement with a question about why we can’t see boats after a certain distance? Challenge accepted Kent the flat earth community will respond and hopefully you will look at the evidence.

Kent how is it you believe your seeing curvature going away from you out to sea in just several short miles yet this same curvature is never witnessed horizontally no matter how high you get above the water and no matter how many miles you overlook

I really like Kent Hovind. I have nothing but respect for his ministry and his contribution to helping people to understand God’s creation of this world.
I would like for him to accept that those of us who are Christians and take the Bible literally would love for him to seriously enter into this debate about the true shape and character of this world that God has created.
I am not comfortable with his previous dismissal of this topic, and his statements about it not being important.
As far as his claim that the ship appears to disappear over the curvature of the earth, it can just as adequately be explained on a flat surface by examining and understanding the mechanics of perspective and the way the human eye interprets objects in the distance as they approach the horizon line.
I took physics in college and have a college level background in engineering and I do not consider myself to be a dummy. I don’t claim to know everything, but I have gone back to Genesis and have noticed that God says he created the earth first! After he created the earth, which he called the dry land that he made to appear in the midst of the waters, he then made grass and trees and herbs grow on it, and then several days later he created the sun.
In the heliocentric model, the sun would have to have come first, and then the planets would have had to form around the sun. As far as I can tell, this is the exact opposite of what God claims happened.
I have to ask, what was the earth orbiting when there was no sun?
