Pastor Doug, have we've forgotten tithes can be looked at as accountability, faithfulness, obedience and trustworthiness. Besides that God owns everything, what about beings good stewards? We can't pay our way into the Kingdom, and I'm not against tithes or offerings. You didn't say anything about 2 hours and 40 minutes of prayer? Isn't that 10%? Or the lady who gave 2 mites?
