  1. # 3 example, tithe like Jesus said to tithe Mat 23:23 . Mint, cumin, herbs stuff like that from their garden on the people backyard it was not money, it had to come from the land, but not any land, from the land of Israel to be more acurate. They could not bring anything from outside the land of Israel as a tithe, it was not accepted. There was money then, but money was not the way to tithe.Who was supposed to tithe? The Israelites that have land, for fruits, vegetables, animals … The fishermans, the carpenters etc..did not have to tithe.Jesus did not tithe, Peter did not, Paul did not, they did not have to tithe. Plus at the time Jesus told the pharisees and sadducees it was ok to tithe the mint, the cumin, etc..He had not jet died and resurected so they were under the old covenant not the new covenant.

  2. #2 The example of Jacob, not a good example either, what Jacob did was to make a vow to God, thats not an example of tithing. We should not follow a vow Jacob made and meant for himself alone.Thats a personal vow! Further more Jacob was bargaining with God! Negotiating terms and conditions! Not tithing. I could follow that example, if God gave a job that I make millions of dollars every year, and I am healthy etc.etc… I could tithe from that. Thats not tithing. Wrong example

  3. You gave 2 examples from the old covenant ,(before Jesus died and was resurected, and began the new covenant).which example should be followed, Abraham who was rich(money was gold and silver, chap 13) before Moses law, and he did not gave any of his money he gave things he took from the people he just slaughter, the spoils of war not his personal money. Thats not an example to follow, but if I ever go to war and I win I will give tithes from what I take from them, not from my own money. Thats #1 before Moses law.

  4. I have nothing to against offerings and tithe. It's what is used for. Now pastors thinks that by preaching, they get paid by the tithe and offerings of the people. So really if it is holy, it is not to buy you a car or vacation homes and pay your taxes for your house. This is to take care of the homeless people. Even the food tithe and offerings as gifts so the priests in the synagogues to eat and also for the widows. When they offer the clean animal on the alter to God, the priests were to eat from it. Because they didn't work. God provided for them. If a pastor didn't accept money from the church, I bet you God will always lead him to people who will offer him food. It's just sad because there are a bunch of homeless children and people who live around the SDA CHURCHES That I attend and this is what this money is really for. Pastors are not meant to live lavish. The apostles sold their things and gave to the poor. Those houses and cars Will hold them back. They are supposed to be like pack backers. They don't stay in one place. Just like Yeshua when HE came to minister. HE was always on the move to teach. Notice that Yeshua never asked the people to give your tithe and offerings so that HE could eat and make sure HE has a house to live in. God made every plans for YESHUA. GOD'S PEOPLE WILL FEED GOD'S PEOPLE.
