giving thithes and offering is not an issue … the real problem are those SDA leaders who are corrupt

But, there is one thing that you failed to mention here:
Jesus showed us, and also taught that if we follow him (as in live/act on our believe in Him) then we are priest and kings !
…Guess what folks: priest and kings never paid tithes, and never will.
The New Covenant described in our bibles supports with no arguments: love-offerings and/or collections per risen need, not "tithing". period.

Thank you Brother Doug for answering this question. By looking at the comments you can clearly see a line between those who love money and those who want to follow The Bible. Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil, and He also says you cannot love God and mammon (money). We are new Adventist’s, and tho we technically can’t afford it we tithe, and God has richly blessed us. Like you said earlier it’s a matter of trust. Keep preaching the Word no matter what. We love God and will do as He commands.
Here this law abiding “Christian” goes again with this Christ denying bull!! 🙄.. There is no law to tithe in the New Testament!! It’s apart of THE LAW which is dead!! In Christ you simply give as God by way of His Holy Spirit!! There is no scripture in the New Testament that teaches tithing!! Jesus in Matthew was talking to those who kept the law!! Jesus didn’t enact the New Covenant until He died and was resurrected!! Everything after that concerning giving as you can see after the Gospels is giving by the ONLY law New Testament believers are called to live by, and that is the law of Love!! I love God and I love ppl therefore I give as God leads me in my giving out of my love for God and the people!!
