I actually won a debate bc I used the argument “Well we can’t make Abortion Illegal bc all the doctors that own abortion clinics will be out of work” and my debater said “they can find different jobs”
And then I replied “That’s what I said about coal miners and oil drillers yesterday when we argued for climate change and you said that saving the planet isn’t a moral enough reason to make a few thousand people find new jobs” which then made him stutter and lose his step and I was able to out talk him. Debate club was way more fun for me after that 😂
