Sacred? Everyday is sacred not only Saturday or Sunday.
Christians WORSHIP GOD everyday n Not only on Sundays.
Imagine when we all will be judged by our own beliefs..law keepers will be judged by all the laws n faith believers will be judged by their faith in CHRIST…so relax…we all will face our turn n imagine if u break just 1 law oops.
Saturday is the sabbath. Given before Sinai to the people of Israel, forever. It was not given to gentiles. The historical record shows that gentiles were keeping Sunday as a memorial to the resurrection by 150 AD ( long before any pope.). Paul makes clear that under the new covenant, one may keep any day.
I was an SDA for many years, and elder and adult sabbath school teacher, till I found the true Gospel.
A simple few questions for my SDA friends. In the NT, under the new covenant, under the royal law or the law of Christ, 9 of the 10 commandments are reiterated numerous times. The 4th commandment is not.
IF sabbath keeping is so important to God, why doesn't at least one Apostle tell us so? A simple sentence, like " keeping the sabbath is required of you by God " would do it.
Why was it so ambiguous in the NT that true followers, martyrs, did not keep it for thousands of years? No, EGW in the GC was wrong, the true historical record shows no peoples in the Valley's of Switzerland keeping the sabbath.
I studied this issue in great depth for many, many, many hours, over years.. I tried to be totally objective without preconceived ideas.
The Law of Liberty, of Christ, or the Royal Law IS NOT the same as The law of Moses, or the Torah. Believing so is an assumption.
No day is required to be kept by believers, since the Resurrection.
When Jesus sad the law would not change "till all is fulfilled", He was speaking of the first covenant, which was totally fulfilled at the resurrection.
BTW, at the adoption of the international dateline the Philippines and near islands had two fridays in a row to bring them into the system.
Pastor, you make a great strawman in arguing against the CHANGE of the sabbath. It wasn't changed
The Jewish people got the Bible correct. All other religions got the Bible miserably wrong. You must go to church on Saturday and never on Sunday.
Saturday is sacred and Sunday is a regular work day as are all the weekdays. Sunday is not sacred and never was sacred so says the Bible. You must rest on Saturday and go to your house of worship on Saturday and never on Sunday. Sunday is not the 7th day of the week. Saturday is the 7th day and Sunday is the first day of the week.
James 2:9-10…Sabbath keeping will not save you. Ephesians 2:8-10; I Corinthians 15:1-4
