The medical practitioners should be investigated as to why for every injured patient they have a consultation with, why are opiate based drugs prescribed. Why aren’t alternative treatments being suggested? Physiotherapy, pilates etc
I've struggled with addiction so my mom after getting a root canal told the Dr she didn't want the pain pills cuz she knew how addictive they are and the Dr said he HAD to write it but she didn't have to get it filled but he wrote her a script anyway and she threw it in the trash right there in the Dr office
I work the pharmacy before during and after the pills mill days, corporation would force you to fill the Oxy, even though pharmacy staff was stating there is a problem, they would tell us it was our job. If you want a look from the inside world of one of the largest pharmacy companies, just ask. They made us do so many things illegally when it came to filling those scripts, to where I was robbed numerous times. Ppl killed, ppl waiting for u in the parking lot, the od in the bathroom of the store because they couldn’t wait to get high. How meth, herion, fentanyl became popular because of the data base EFORSCE. Include doctors when you include pharmaceutical companies. The federal government sued this company in fl and won which open the door to all these now being able to sue. So they came up with a settlement instead of opening treatment centers in there stores to help the problem they created.
