Interesting balanced approach; it doesn't settle the debate, but gives some fresh introspection. Just one note; at the Wedding of Cana in Galilee the term "adelphoi" means both brothers & sisters. I have two questions Pastor Doug: Where were Joseph's children when they travelled down to Bethlehem and Is it possible that Joseph was a polygamous by having taken his deceased brother's wife to "raise up seed" for him, as mentioned when Jesus debated the Saduccees?
Why do you bother to make merry a vergin. Of course she is a perfect women. But your scripture is telling the reality and you are trying to interpret to what you want to believe. All this bothering is because you believe that "Jesus is God" and you don't want to believe in "a God" that have brother and sister. Don't believe in part of the scripture and disbelieve in the other.
