The story of a Great Flood sent by God or the gods to destroy civilization as an act of divine retribution is a widespread theme among many ancient cultures. It is best known from the biblical story of Noah, but there are several other famous versions.
Many of the world’s cultures past and present have stories of a Great Flood that devastated earlier civilizations. While not all flood stories are the same, the description of the destruction of the world by water is a common theme in many religions and cultures. Most flood stories include an angry God or deity, and a catastrophic water event that destroys the world but is only survived by a chosen few.

So we have to use our God given superpowers; our minds, imaginations, and our abilities to reason, rationalize, hypothesize, postulate and devise something that makes sense to us. History is so infinitely, and eternally convoluted, it appears nearly impossible to know the facts. However we would be absolute fools to think a worldwide flood never happened, and we would be dumber still if we thought it happened only once. In the Bible it said: “the fountains of the deep were broken up”, does that mean most of the water we call oceans existed under the earth at one time, and most of the earth surface was land, and humans had no need of ships; most all water was freshwater, and the earth that existed before the fountains of the deep were broken up was an amazing paradise; Pangea. What broke up the fountains of the deep, and change the earth surface, and the waters position, and composition forever. Was the earth struck by one mighty comet; a series of mighty asteroids?
