Rob or Robbie what is your model of the sun on flat earth? I cannot see how you guys can talk so convincingly about this subject without having a working hypothesis of the sun. I have posted this type of comment a number of times hoping people who are proponents of this theory can explain to me what is the sun? You do not need NASA to understand or look at the sun and you do not need NASA to determine the distance to the moon. The Ancient Greeks knew the distance over 2000 years ago.
Many amateurs look at the sun with telescopes with special filters. Lots of Universities. Many schools study sun light. What is the sun in your model if it isn't a star? How do you account for day and night? If the sun doesn't set because of vanishing perspective the sun would get very small as it moved away. You could never have darkness. There is not enough distance to create nighttime. The sun would never change colors without curvature. Does the sun not give off gamma radiation, ultra violent light, infrared light etc.? How do you account for the various constellations that cannot be seen in the southern sky?
You guys say gravity doesn't exist but that cannot be so. We know that as you go deeper in the oceans that the pressure builds the deeper you go. That would not happen if you had no gravity. The constant of gravity allows the weight of the water to build pressure at deeper and deeper depths. Without gravity any person could just swim to any depth of water without any change in pressure.
You guys do not strike me as dumb men. So how do you explain these celestial objects and their interaction with earth? If the sun is orbiting earth at the distance you claim it is located it would visibly appear to be in constant motion.
