I’ve had a 30k bottle of baijiu, it was like butter.
I have lived in China for two years and Baijiu is something I cannot even got close to it. But if they made me choose between Corean Baijiu and Chinese one, I would choose Chinese Because the Corean one is like adding a ton of satursted sugar to carburator fuel.
Great vid. Made me even more of a teetotaller
This type of liquor is called 白酒 (báijiǔ). Literally means white liquor. There are some types that are really bottom of the barrel, maybe 6-7 RMB for about 250 ml (less than a dollar) and are about 100-120 proof. I've had these on plenty of occassions and holy shit do you get drunk fast. There are some higher end types of baijiu that are actually palpable and don't give you a hangover (for example, Maotai 茅台). I personally like baijiu but it's not for everyone. Give some of the middle tier stuff a try and see what you think.
Gave it to an Indian dude once at a party and after taking the shot, he immediately said benchot
