My dad's life and end of his journey is what made my outlook change. The opposite of what most social media motivators talk about. I stepped back in my career and pursuit of more and now pursue life. My uncle taught me hard work, my dad taught me that my current accomplishment was never good enough and to strive for the next. But on their death beds, we never talked about their careers. We only talked about their stories of adventures, family, friends, and the impact of their lives that they had. I'm 33, 32 when I lost my dad, 27 when I lost my uncle. I hope that someone that is deep into the grind of their career reads this. That you take a second to step back. Realize that money and power are nothing. That when you are on deaths doorstep, you will think about none of those things and only about what truly matters.
