Gobekli Tepe is one of the oldest discovered man-made structures on Earth. At 12,000 years old, it predates humanity’s oldest known civilizations. Its megalithic structures were cut from rock millennia before the 4,500-year-old pyramids in Egypt, the 5,000-year-old Stonehenge in England, or the 7,000-year-old Nabta Playa, which is the oldest known astronomical site. However, because the ancient structure is so vast and complex, archaeologists are still excavating it since its discovery in 1994. When archaeologists try to make their findings fit their preconceived model it will always end in mystery you must let the finding tell you the story not the narrative tell you about the finding

The theory that the people who built it, buried it in sand is absolutely retarded to me. s
Seeing how the date of it's creation, ( so they tell us anyway) is very close to the end of the Ice Age and what we believe is the beginning of the global flood period. How far away is it from the coastline? How far away is it from the nearest Desert? Being someone who's done plenty of landscaping in my career, sand is heavier than dirt . If you were going to bury that, you would have buried it in dirt, unless you really wanted to give yourself a hard time. Is sand abundant in the area? Did they have to transport this sand from a far distance, rather than just use dirt that's abundant in the area? These are the type of questions that I have but I can't find the answer for.
