  1. Shabbat Shalom!! My kids sometimes listen with us. I think you said the proper words 😁 anything sexual is a delicate thing to talk about. Hey it must be done! If we are teaching them righteously they will not stray.

  2. Shabbat shalom Adam! I caught where you were going when you started reading Lev 15 in regards to “evening”. I understand why you didn’t go into it because as you said it is a point of contention, which really is sad. We try to keep things simple in our home and not overthink things. We were on the sabbath start at sunrise to sundown before we read jubilees. It was something put on our hearts because Yahusha shows there is a differentiation between day and night (or evening) when he asked if there were not 12 hours in a day. This is also in Genesis where Yah specifies the difference. The sabbath command also specifies “day”. Keeping it simple, that’s what we went with and we were blessed for our efforts. It didn’t mean as soon as the sun went down we started working or practicing commerce but if it was necessary, we didn’t see an issue. Then we listened to someone and both felt we needed to keep it starting sundown the evening before but with it came a lot of stress and anxiety and that’s not what following Yah’s commands is about, especially not the sabbath. When we re-evaluated, it seemed to be due to religious tradition that was making it complicated. In our re-evaluation , we came across jubilees 2 where it explicitly says it is the sun which dictates the sabbath. Some people look at this as meaning the day starts at morning and that may or may not be. We know we are children is light, not darkness. We’re know there is a differentiation between day and night so we think of it as 2 separate things vs one 24 hour day as the world teaches us. To us, that means when the sun goes down and evening approaches we are within our dwellings as much as possible. It’s not a religious thing but an effort we make. We know the spirits are heavy at night so we try to stay set-apart from it. Whether or not the day starts at sunrise or evening is not something we have full clarity on just yet, but what was impressed upon us is that whether it starts in the evening or the morning doesn’t affect the sabbaths and feasts based on the roles of the sun and moon in jubilees 2. We are always listening for Yah’s guidance and that clarity may or may not come. It may not be something He wishes for us to focus on at this point. In the meantime, we know what we know and stay out of the argument. Only sharing with you because I see from some of your videos you seem to be on the fence as well in these areas. I thought another point of view might offer some shalom.

We are with you on the no intimate relations on the sabbath stated at the end of jubilees and look at it the same way you do but that’s just where we are at. I’ve not seen any other area of scripture which commands it and we know man has a tendency to add things. The Qumran community was no different and we can see that with their Damascus document and some of the rules upheld in the community. Just my 2 cents. Hope your Shabbat is blessed abundantly in your home. As Justin says, Shalomie homie.

PS you’ll like the HalelluYah Scriptures. I find them much easier to read than the Cepher which still reads very much like the KJV with the Hebrew names put back in place. Not knocking it, but some areas are very wordy when they don’t need to be. I also like that HS considers the LXX in their translations which is more in line with the DSS and the Samaritan Torah. They have the full book of 2 Esdras as well.

  3. The lamb is slaughtered to cleanse the unclean! HalleluYah for the Lamb of Elohim! Slaughtered to cleanse us of our uncleanliness.
Seven in Hebrew is “שבע” it doesn’t only mean “seven”, it also means “be sated, satisfied, full, abundance, to swear, or to take an oath” found that interesting
The plague in the Temple is an awesome analogy, I never thought about that.
It’s worth note that the “unclean until evening”, it’s possible that it was that way because any “unclean” thing wasn’t allowed inside the camp. So I (as an observer of morning to morning) see it set this way so they could come back into the camp during the night to sleep in their beds.
Thanks for your studies brother, love having you as a study partner. Yah bless!
