Leviticus 23:32 it shall be unto you a sabbath of rest and you shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at EVEN, from EVEN UNTO EVEN shall you celebrate your Sabbath.
Look up all verses in Torah (I've done in English and Hebrew) that have *day (he called the light(time) yom), *night (dark he called laylah), *evening(mingled with dark), *morning(seen light), *yesterday/night, and *tomorrow.
There are alot of them which could go either way but these three had me switch to yom = daylight
Gen 19 (vs34) One daughter was with Lot "Yesternight" and Other Daughter "this night"
Lev 23 (vs 32)Yom HaKippuriym if evening begins day then Yah would say begin on 10th even (instead it begins 9th even)
Exodus 16 (vs13-14; 22-23) on the 6th "yom" double Mawn (manna) in morning quail in evening. Did they prepare quail 6th evening on Shabbat ?
This chapter also makes me consider that we should do as much preparation as possible in the 6th yom = daylight. So as the sun is setting "wrap it up" (for my household).
When we used to do 6th Night Sabbath we have actually had to waste food because the sun set before food cooked through.
