ughhhhh the cringe at how much was taken out of context…
okay, starting off with the lunar landing and the scientists saying "this is as far as we can go right now" im 99.99% SURE they meant the current vessel, they do live streams answering questions the public has on space. I assume that was a response to a question on why they can't take the ISS to mars or to the moon, simply because thats as far as they can go, it wasnt MADE to go farther out and definitely does NOT have the capability to fly out to either. Other space programs were designed to do so, they are looking into adding the capability to move past towards the moon with practicality.
Second point, the remark that "I hope that nobody gets their morals from the bible" is an honest opinion on human morality. Anyone who studies our history or culture KNOWS its freeflowing, things CONSTANTLY change and the do's and dont's are constantly being wavered and swapped. The bible is a supposed ancient tomb that reflected on the values of people in its "constructed era?"- yes it DOES have life lessons or areas that are still relatable today but its just not an accurate portrayal of todays society, and it has been changed before! (looking at the king of England who made his own sect of Christianity so he could divorce his wife)
deal is its just.. Its just not a good example anymore, im sorry, yes it CAN teach some people right from wrong but so can your social experiences, we develop in communities.
The third and all I have the mental capacity left to bear for explanation is this whole… hiding the truth thing? like we have some kind of tangible proof that god exists- just… no. As a collective we aren't hiding some fingernail of jesus that we all KNOW about and snicker over being the big bad atheist who brainwashes the public and your children that god doesnt exist and that sin is good- (not trying to stereotype that TOO much, but it comes from both sides im sorry) but seriously, I see it all to much when a scientist who is doing a job RESEARCHING is placed on a pedestal and interrogated until he HAS to say "I dont know just yet" and all of a sudden its that hes stupid and that his ENTIRE life's work is discredited? JUST NO, there isnt a secret club of scientists out to turn your kids gay or poison them, or holding some secret book that proves or disproves a deity. They have a collection if observations and experiments, like global warming that is taken up so much.. they understand the cause, they understand parts of the science and they WORK to understand better so they can fix it, im sorry but praying for more ozone isnt going to make it poof into existence- and not to claim either or here but if god exists and he had some unchangeable plan.. doesnt that mean he wanted your son to be gay, or trans? Or your daughter to be depressed? if he knows what will happen then why not stop it? he ALREADY knows if they will pass/fail whatever test hes supposedly throwing at them. So if it's already predisposed in the timeline then why ask for change- what would HE care, hes the sky daddy who decided for you. So evoke yourself this after reading, if things are already set to happen the way HE wants.. do you even have the free will he spoke so highly of?
