They didn't procreate with humans, they had the ability to genetically manipulate the DNA of humans. The ancient peoples just didn't know what else to say other than they were taking wives, because the result of them taking the women into their temples was unnaturally large children. No they didn't sexually reproduce, they genetically manipulated them. If it was just genetic vitality, then you'd think that Gods people would be no smaller than giants that lived after the flood, but there is a clear distinction between true humanity and these abominations that were manipulated into being. I believe that's also why God had Israel wipe out men women and children in many of the countries they entered, the offspring of these giants were corrupting the pure gene pool of humanity and God wasn't having it. It's why Noah was pure in his generations, his bloodline hadn't been corrupted with these genetic manipulations.
