I have many questions about our moon. We are taught that it is a reflector of the sun’s light. But both the Scriptures and angles of light, which can be observed seem to refute this idea. Also, the moon appears to be GIVING off cold light, rather than reflecting the warm rays of the sun. There are also issues with the eclipse. I have more questions than answers regarding this stuff, but something just doesn’t seem right about what we’ve been taught.

i have wondered about the moons light source as well when it was in the sky at the same time the sun was. now, i am on the fence about the nature of the worlds "shape" on which we reside. when out and about i usually present a FE argument because i am an a$$hole that way and i know nasa is a bunch of liars, while at the same time most people couldn't prove one way or another what the shape of the earth is without saying "but nasa!", so that's a fun game for me. read more
that said: when looking at this strange lighting effect you must conceptualize that what the globe earth model states is that the sun is fncking massive. that when you turn your camera, or eyes, towards it on the horizon it looks like a pin prick of light that's lower than the moon, but that would be a wrong way of looking at it. just lasso that sun, pull it all the way to you and imagine an infinite plane that would blot out everything in that area of the sky. imagine the parallel lines of light emanating from it and hitting the earth and the moon at the exact same angle. it's the immense distances that make this illusion, me thinks. i don't get to see this phenomenon very often, and still have a hard time reconciling it in my mind, but i think it would be imprudent of you to point to this as some sort of evidence w/o at least considering the opposite explanation.
BTW the actual wiki style explanation of this is mind bendingly stupid, or poorly worded. something about warped field of view, or some sh!t. i like my version better, but this is not to say that this is what is. it is something to consider. just remember how big they say the sun is and imagine it real F N close and it might help your argumentation, or convince you that the earth is a sphere. either way… knowledge doesn't hurt.
God created the moon to rule the night and the sun to rule the day; two great lights created AFTER Genesis 2. Does that indicate there was no sun or moon?

This proves the sun is close. But the moon still reflects the sun, and it does so from the position it 'sees' it – from 'up there'. We see the sun 'down there' because of perspective. This can only happen with a close sun, as with a far away sun the reflection angles should be the same.
