Jaw surgery fixes this stuff with stable results. I don’t think this is as prevalent as this video suggests. Proper treatment is paramount.
Yes, mouth breathing in children causes a narrow palate. However, stay away from Homeoblock and other palate expanders if you are an adult. You are setting yourself up for bone and tooth loss down the road. Just look up "AGGA and lawsuit". All those appliances work more or less the same. Also, there is no way people would have noticed a difference after 6 weeks. At one turn per week he would have gained 1.5mm in width, at best. Absolutely dishonest, or wishful thinking at best.
4:10 – sounds to me that this is more to do with the cooking of food stuffs so less chewing is required than industrialization.
