Few Christians realise that The King of Heaven Himself volunteered to carry out the Messianic Mission in accordance with God's Secret Plan of Redemption of the fallen souls. The conclusion of that Plan was brought about when Christ, The King, incarnated on earth as the human Jesus. It was against Christ that Lucifer had lead the fallen in rebellion and so it was only fitting that Christ should be the one to defeat Lucifer and open a path for His people to return to their former homes. The 3rd Heaven, Paradise, was empty at the time and became the forward operations base for preparing conditions on earth ready for a Redeemer. Paradise is the closest sphere to the earth that is under Christ's rule and it was from here that Christ and His angels visited the earth when necessary to guide humans and prepare for the birth of the Messiah. It is that activity which appears from time to time throughout the Old Testament. Those appearances were usually in human form in temporary materialised bodies and were distinct from the visitations by God Himself where He appeared and communicated via cloud and fire – His appearance being so brilliant that no human could go face to face with Him.
