I feel this is a fairly shallow approach to try and dissect why people cheat. Men and women have different reasons why they cheat and it differs from person to person as well. As a general rule in my personal experience, when people are emotionally unhealthy and don't know how to process emotions in a healthy way they act out by cheating. If you look at research done by institutes that council couples that have gone through this type of experience. Majority of people that cheat don't WANT to leave their spouse.
Take a different example, how many people are angered on a daily basis. Who of those people decide to commit a violent crime in their anger and who doesn't? It boils down to our ability to deal with our emotions in a healthy way.
