If aliens are real they are probably watching us to make sure they know the pros and cons of us becoming space travelers like them cause once we get off the planet and start like mining rare resources on rocks floating around and colonize mars and like lern how to tera form and get a couple more planets under our belt with the abundance of resources and our constant desire to improve i dont think we have long from that to ftl or warp gates or what ever that allows us deep space travel in fractions of decimals of percentagea of what time it would take us now to like send a ship to alpha centaury or whatever once we stop living like there is a finite amount of resources and put or full backs into gathering resources manufacturing the stuff and then the research behind it all the only thing we would need to do is conquer the world trying to steal resesrch and early high end resources that cant be found easily on earth or come together as one people to deal with the more advanced and deadly aliens either diplomatically or as a fight for our survival like oh they went grom radios to nukes in 50 years they are getting closer to space travel lets watch em a bit closer now oh they slowed down another conflict another politician got in the way of some promising research we can relsx our stufies on them for a bit ect ect
