Adam about the names of the places . Something has be itching my mind about it.
Something tells me it has a 3 fold understanding of it.
I can't help to think it has the book of Revelation (Hazon) summerize in it. It describes the journey of Yisrael back to rightness. And the trial they will come upon the Qodeshiym in the last day.
It just my thoughts on the matter.

When I heard this verse I can't not help but to think about this verse right here:
Little children, let no one lead you astray. The one doing righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

Many will perish,man will be became rare upon the face of the Earth.
Just remember 2Esdras 7:20-25. It clear that is right-ruling that many perish instead of the Torah being diaregarded.
And evil people only respects repercussions. And YHWH sees beyond. And yet was merciful about the people of the land,letting the virgins marrying into Yisrael. He punishes them, and delivery them mercy. If you can't see that. Woe to you.

The killing of the little ones and the women, seems harsh by our secular standard today in the 21st century, but Yah's justice is unwavering and yes harsh. What do people think it means when we are told that Messiah will rule with an iron rod! The law of the Torah is the law of the kingdom! There will be no antifa or blm riots , destruction of property, and rebellion in the kingdom. These " harsh" standards are to protect the righteous, and to stop the seed of rebellion from growing. Look around we are seeing what that seed unchecked produces!!!
