Also I would like to add. It is in the Bible that Joseph recommended to store up some provisions for the lean times. I realize that God is our savior. But He also gave us a mind. Look at the situation. Be prepared for power outages, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, tornadoes, hail storms and Move out the cities and still minister as well. Don't go all dooms day preper…but store up some goods for family, friends and animals. NOAH preached until the door was closed. Ultimately God will definitely deliver us .
Doug is talking about a famine of the word of God because we can become so focused on hoarding food that we forget about the word. Pastor Batchelor lives on a farm, so he is already prepared for the food shortages. He is telling us to be sure to place God FIRST, as we prepare for what is to come. I am guilty of preparing the food but not spending enough time in the word and prayer. But, I plan to correct that with the time we have left, which I believe is very short.
Absolutely, God's people need to store spiritual food because when the storm comes we might not even be able to stay in our homes to enjoy the stored foods As inspiration says at the end of time a decree is to go forth, God's people will be scattered and food will be provided for them just like Elijah and the raven. feed your mind more with God's word.
