I don't understand why they just don't make a TikTok like app in America
The government has been trying to seize control of the internet for years. Remember in 2019 when they tried to pass the "Net Neutrality Act?"
It was much like The Patriot Act in the sense that the name implies exactly the opposite of what the act actually does. ALL of the major media corporations were pushing it heavily. I remember CNN saying the world was going to end if Net Neutrality didn't get passed.
Imagine going to Wikipedia to read about a bill when you could just read the bill straight from the government website. Oh wait, I’m sure that’s what 99% of people do.
