Replace a minimum wage with a living wage
Starting a business requires different set of skills man that you acquire while being on the job.
Business is not just calculations.
Wisdom is what profitable businesses require most of the time, which is very hard to teach and acquire and add to that your social conditions. Let’s just say that same boss owing to his influence conspires against, you might not get business even.
Businesses succeed only when people have enough money to spend, when only bunch of individuals have all the wealth, there is limit to which they can personally spend.
Consumption boosting is what is good for businesses too.

I think it's impossible to convince someone who has a job that minimum wage is a bad thing. They don't know what it's like doing 3 rounds of interviews if your lucky. Having to take 3 hour long personality tests that ask horrible probing personal questions only to be told you have toxic character defects.
Minimum wage is the reason you don't get on the job training anymore. There is a gap between education and work. Minimum wage creates that gap where you can't get skills without a job and you can't get a job without skills. Sure you can try and get an internship but the employer has to specially prepare for it and there are rules for internship such as not being able to benefit from having an intern. It's illegal to get any actual work out of an intern. Get rid of minimum wage and companies can bridge that gap between education and work. They can give you that vital experience you need in order finish your education to where you are actually able to put your learning to work in the real world.
