Real Socialism is not government ownership of the means of production. That's Soviet style totalitarianism. Real Socialism envisioned by Marx & Engles is worker co-ownership of the means of production. Power to the people, especially the workers. The big problem with Capitalism has always been the expoitation of workers in the name of profit with little to no legal consequences for the owner-capitalist. Throughout history, workers had to fight for their rights and laws had to be put into place to protect them from exploitation. What does that tell you about the nature of Capitalism? As long as it is kept in check by justice for the workers who become slaves to owner-capitalists, it can work. If it is allowed to exploit with no repercussions, that's when it becomes crime and corruption
Congress passes tax laws, not the president. Plus we had 90% tax rates in the 40s, 50s and '60s. So how in the hell is that socialism
I like rogan, but I've noticed his stance on things is usually whatever the person sitting across from his is. If he's got a super liberal in front of him, he's gonna be super liberal. Super conservative in front of him and all of a sudden he's super conservative. That's the one thing I don't like about rogan is that he doesn't really stand for anything and from a business standpoint, that's probably the smart thing to do because in today's world, the minute you get yourself boxed in to one category or the other, you lose 50% of the audience. So, I get it, but at the same time, Joe(in public at least) likes to ride the fence and pretend he's an idiot when it's convenient for him on certain issues because he doesn't want to get labeled as this or that. That makes it easier to appeal to the masses, but also makes him less likable for pretty much kissing the asses of whoever is sitting across from him. I guarantee you Joe Rogan behind closed doors is waaaaaay more conservative than he is liberal, but he knows you're fucked in show business the second you get labeled as a conservative because the industry is clearly very, very liberal and he knows better than to actually be himself on the podcast. I still find the show entertaining, but I don't think Joe is a very authentic guy in his public persona.
Yet the government takes tax money and gives it to other people, theft. These politicians use our money to make their inside deals which makes them wealthy.
