That explanation of the Covenant was so confusing.
The Old Covenant is the Ten Commandments written on stone, based on the future sacrifice of Jesus, who was represented by the "Lamb slain since the foundation of the world"
NO one was ever saved by keeping the law, they were saved by looking forward to Jesus' 1st coming.. and confessing and forsaking their sin through the earthly sanctuary sacrificial system.
After Jesus came, the Ten Commandments are no longer on stone, but on our hearts, and we look back to what Jesus did on the cross, as the Israelites sacrificed animals to represent Jesus.
Jesus says, "If you love me, keep my commandments" …in our strength, we fail. This is why HIS GRACE is sufficient for us, He makes up where we fail. However. We are to show obedience to the best of our ability, by showing HOW we love, by keeping His commandments, which are the Everlasting Covenant.
Jesus refers to those who do not keep the Everlasting Covenant, as "lawless" … the reason the Ten Commandments were given, was to tell us HOW to love. Our definitions of love, are not the same as Gods, that is why He gave us the Ten Commandments, and that is why they are the foundation of heaven… We know this, because God's throne, in heaven, is the Ark of the Covenant. The box which literally holds the Covenant.
I'm really enjoying Pastor Ross's style. His sermons really touch me in a new way. His approach to scripture is direct, inspired, and very well structured.
The Catholic Church brought "the trinity doctrine" into Christianity !
The trinity doctrine is not biblical.
There is one God, The Father !
Jesus Christ is His only begotten son and therefore Divine. (Divine Nature)
The Holy Spirit is The Spirit of The Father and His Only Begotten Son. (Not a 3rd god)
And this is Life Eternal, that they might know YOU THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ, whom YOU have sent. (John 17:3) ________________________________________
The Holy Spirit is not a 3rd God ! called God The Holy Spirit.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14)
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17)
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth ''THE SPIRIT OF HIS SON'' into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (Galatians 4:6)
The Holy Spirit = The Spirit of God and Christ _______________________________________________
Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. (John 14:28)
Jesus Christ himself said that His Father is greater than Him. ______________________________________________
Jesus Christ the Son of God died for our sins ! not God The Father.
God The Father cannot die.
See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever. (Deuteronomy 32:39-40)
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. (Psalm 90:2)

βEven he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them BOTH.β (Zechariah 6:13)
In this verse it's very clear, the plan of salvation shall be between them BOTH !
1) God The Father ! 2) Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son !

Look at this interesting conversation between Christ and the Samaritan Woman !
Did Jesus preach to her about a Trinity god ?
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, WORSHIP The Father. (John 4:21)
Ye worship ye know NOT what: we KNOW what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. (John 4:22)
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the TRUE Worshippers shall WORSHIP The Father in spirit and in truth: for The Father seeketh such to worship Him. (John 4:23)
God is a Spirit: and they that WORSHIP Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)
These verses talk about our Father who is spirit, and we are to worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Many think that our God is a "mystery" which they call a Trinity.
The words of Jesus "Ye know NOT what ye worship" would apply if our God is a mystery.
When we get to Heaven, God will not then say βMeet My Spiritβ.
We will see God face to face, and we will know Him !
The Father of Jesus Christ.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, (Ephesians 1:17-18) _______________________________________
