Scarface wouldn't have been as good if he directed it.
I'm white, and every one of my white friends LOVED that movie. We quoted the movie incessantly for decades after.
Yeh! Thats the magic of the film.
I’ve watched it more than 30 times, wondering what is the magic that captivates my attention again and again.
I know the dialogue word by word, and still I watch it like: “may be this time Tony don’t make his fatal mistakes.”
They are constantly under fear of sudden death. Like when climbing on mountains or sailing beyond horizon or proposing mariage or driving a car in the city under aged. That hidden fear that dries your mouth is present in the sceneries. Bestly in the “Lunch with Mr Sosa” scene.
Tony having a fear:” May be he becomes paranoidic, and kills me too.” Mr Sosa having a fear: “May be he is FBI agent, may be there is chopper full of US soldiers behind the ridge.”
Could anyone imagine if Oliver Stone was able to make the Noriega movie with Al Pacino!?!?
Lol Joe thought that Oliver Stone directed Scarface, he back peddled pretty quick
