  1. There are some bodies of knowledge that lend itself to fact checking because it is empirical evidence that can be quantified. Other types of knowledge is not quantifiable, like history which occurs in time and space and is from the subjective perspective of the viewer/ accounter/annotater. In history it is appropriate to ask,“what is truth?” We will often find different accounts based on political deception and disparate ideologies. This presents a problem because the information being input into the quantum computers is from the perspective of the culture inputting the information and will therefore inevitably be biased or even fabricated. In other words, some bodies of knowledge will not lend itself to determinations of “truth.” We will have to think about this one. Also knowledge and “truth” will be continuously evolving over time as we gather greater and greater facts and evidence.

  2. What I don't get is he says we're 5 years away from quantum computing but also says were at least 100-1000 years away from being a level 1 civilization. If this thing can solve anything I think we're closer than he realizes.
